Reid Anderson
Reid Anderson (he/they) is a current MA student within the Cinema Studies Institute at the University of Toronto. They obtained their BA at the University of Alberta in 2022 majoring in film studies and minoring in philosophy. Reid’s research is often focused on aspects of camp aesthetics, queer cinema, cult cinema, and audience subcultures and engagements with filmic texts. Reid has also obtained a diploma in film production from Vancouver Film School in 2023, an institute with which he was employed as a teaching assistant for the assistant directing department. As a filmmaker, Reid was successful in directing their short film Love Socks (2024) which was an official selection for the Run N Gun film festival in Vancouver, BC, as well as the Edmonton Short Film Festival for their queer pride screening.
