Biography :
Julian Miller is an M.A. student at the University of Toronto Cinema Studies Institute. He obtained his B.A. in history from McGill University, with a focus on Cold War Europe. At McGill, his research interests included the Greek Civil War, the uprisings of 1968 and 1989, and the socio-economic restructuring of Europe in the post-Cold War period. At the Cinema Studies Institute, he studies the relationship between documentary film and political activism, with an emphasis on films produced in and around the 1968 protests. Prior to joining the Cinema Studies Institute, Julian was based in Berlin, Germany.
